This early example of modular office furniture still makes it case.

You may stack the modular bookshelf units up to five high. With only two units your barrister's bookcase does double duty as a sideboard or hall table.

Each unit measures approximately 15" high, 36-1/4" wide and 13-1/2" deep. Three units shown.

Not really a barrister bookcase

Rating:
Pros:
 • low skill level
Cons:
 • errata measurements
 • not what it says on the label

Was disappointed once I purchased the plans and was able to review them to find that the plans call for the cases to be screwed together. In my mind barrister bookcases are interlocking modules. Made a couple of modifications to make it work but I had purchased the plans hoping for details of a method of interconnecting the modules that hadn't occurred to me.

Several measurements listed in the plans are off as well (i.e. cutting the door panel to the length specified leaves you with an 1.5 inch gap), so make certain you build a prototype first to identify and correct those errors.

Response from WOODStore.net: Hi Jeff, Sorry for any frustrations. We do our best to keep our plans error-free. If you've found an error, please send a note to info@woodstore.net. Because the door panels on this project are glass, I'm not sure what measurement you're referring to. Let us know and we'll get it corrected. Thanks!
