While judging woodcarvings at the Iowa State Fair a few years ago, we were taken with an antique-style decoy like the canvasback shown at left. Later, we contacted he carver, Clint Bingham of Chariton, Iowa. He readily agreed to share his techniques for making new carvings look old. Here’s how to create your own brand-new old-time decoy.
